Founded in 1982, the Eastern Shore Pregnancy Center exists as a charitable ministry offering emotional and practical support to pregnant women. Our mission rests upon the belief that each human life is make in the image of God and thereby uniquely valuable.
Just as every child has a right to be born, every pregnant woman has the right to the care and support she needs to carry her child to birth and beyond. Often, however, a pregnancy produces feelings of fear, anger, confusion, and isolation. Crises counseling offers a listening and responsive heart to a woman's feelings an concerns. In a caring, non-judgmental manner, trained volunteers encourage an expectant mother to recognize her own value, strengths and talents. The presence of continued friendship assures her that she need not feel isolated and helpless.
