Returning to Worship

On September 12, 2021 we will begin our normal Morning Worship time of 9:30am.  The Fall Discipleship Classes will begin on September 12th at 11:10am, please see the bulletin for list of classes and locations.  The online morning worship service will also continue to be provided for those unable to join us for the services in the church.

You can access the live stream a few different ways:

1. Click on the Worship Online link/picture on the Providence Presbyterian Church website homepage. (www.providencesalisbury.org)
2. Go directly to our YouTube page/channel and click on the live stream.

3. If you have a Smart TV you can go to the YouTube app and search for Providence Presbyterian Church Salisbury MD.

Due to the updated guidance from the CDC and the state of Maryland, the session of Providence Presbyterian Church has decided, effective Sunday 5/16, to discontinue the policy requiring masks to be worn inside of the church building. Masks are still being encouraged for those who have not been vaccinated and/or face other potential complications.

In the spirit of our unity in King Jesus, please respect the decisions made by people during this still confusing times.  “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and mutual upbuilding” (Romans 14:19).

Some differences to expect from our usual worship:

  • Nursery is only provided for ages up to 3 during morning worship.  CDC and Maryland state guidelines are being observed.  Reservations are required by emailing nurserycoordinator@providencesalisbury.org.

  • As much as we don’t want to say it, please refrain from hugs and handshakes.

  • An offering will not be taken during the service. Please continue your faithful tithing either online or by mailing a check to the church office.

  • Communion: Pre-packaged wafer and juice set out on a table in the Narthex.  The congregation will pick up the wafer/juice before they are seated.  There will be gluten free wafers as well.

You should consider many things when deciding if you should attend.  Dear Brothers and Sisters---simply consider your health and the well being of others:

  1. Your current health condition (if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms).

  2. Any recent higher than normal body temperature.

  3. Any underlying conditions that would weaken your immune system, like past cancers or recent surgeries.

  4. Any recent exposure to persons who may have the Covid-19 virus, or flu-like symptoms.

  5. Your age if you are over 60.

  6. Any travel outside the United States in the past month
