The Pilgrim Path (4-4-2020)

The Pilgrim Path---First Corinthians 16: 1 - 3

Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come...

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! ---for giving of time---talent ---and material resources---to keep Kingdom Endeavors moving! growing! going!

Acts 20:35--- In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

---From Randy Alcorn: When we deny ourselves, we find ourselves. When we accept that the good life isn't always the fun life and we make hard choices, God infuses our lives with far more enduring pleasures and greater happiness than anything we gave up for the moment.

---Go back and read through Romans chapter 12---you'll find out that the Love that "counts"---costs! But---it is well worth the price---Thanks be to God!

---Ole John Newton ( the Anglican Minister who wrote, "Amazing Grace," )---used to go to his office---and really "hate" interruptions---then the Lord showed him that "those" were the tasks that--- HE-- wanted Newton to "tend" to---Have you ever "seen"-- that in your own life? Sometimes it is hard to put yourself at God's disposal isn't it? It really does "cost" to love people...

---Thank You for "putting aside" for Jesus' sake: time / talent / material resources...you will never regret it...You might regret not having done more...

---From Matthew Mead: Earthly joys ebb and flow, blossom and wither, but heavenly joys are abiding. No man can take your joy from you. Who would not retire from the noise of a distracting world to rest his soul in the joys of the world to come? Whatever you enjoy in the world---riches, honors, pleasures, children, health, and beauty---let your joy be in God.

---From Peter Marshall: Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned.

Grace & Peace in Jesus Our LORD, Pastor Jason
