We usually have over fifty Sabbath days at our disposal in the course of a year. What a gift from God! These are soul-days: designed for God’s glory and for His image-bearers ---who always need the Life of His Son!

Plan to make wise use of the Sabbath.

From Richard Sibbes: Why does my heart run to other things? Lord, open my heart for your throne. Teach my heart to love you. Open my understanding to conceive holy things. Take off my love, my joy, and my delight from earthly things, and plant them where they should be, and enlarge them. Fill my heart with yourself as you have made it for yourself!
