The Pilgrim Path

The Pilgrim Path---John 17: 24 (6—4—24)

“Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.”

“MAY BE WITH ME WHERE I AM…”

A Believer dies---and then lives. Amazing! A Follower of Jesus Christ dies---and then sees The Living Christ in His Glory. A Gospel Wonder! Absent from the body---present with the LORD. One of my seminary professor’s (Dr. Kistemaker) used to say, “it’s like a transition from one dimension to another.” Yes, it is! We begin to understand this because the Holy Spirit opens our heart and mind to the truth of God’s Holy Word. Thanks be to God!

From Charles Haddon Spurgeon: Every time a believer mounts from this earth to paradise, it is an answer to Christ’s prayer.

From St. Cyprian of Carthage: To those who seek and believe, He promises to give both the Father and heaven. What Christ is, we Christians will be, if we follow Christ.
