The Pilgrim Path---Acts 9: 5 – 9

And he said, “Who are you, Lord?”

And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

“GET UP AND GO…”

A remarkable encounter with the glorified Jesus! Saul is no longer the big dog. He is a transformed man. He cannot “see” for three days. When Saul’s sight is restored, he will look at everyone and everything in a new way. All will be viewed for Jesus Christ. We do not add Jesus to our life. Jesus Christ is our life. This often is the key to our struggles and the explanation for our immaturity. Please meet us and empower us---Dear Spirit of God! We do so little of lasting value on our own…

From Charles Haddon Spurgeon: Saul the proud persecutor, who was going to Damascus as a conqueror to crush the saints of God was, himself, led into the city as a captive, to be forever afterwards the slave of Jesus Christ.
