The Pilgrim Path---Psalm 147: 2, 3 (2—6—23)

The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the outcasts of Israel.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

“HE GATHERS THE OUTCASTS…”

Please consider these verses within the “revealing” truth---of the New Testament. The LORD is building HIS Church and HE is doing so by gathering the alienated and the cast off. Jehovah-Jesus takes the sin-ravaged and soul-cursed--- and remakes them---to establish His Kingdom. The Perfect One---Jesus, became sin for us, that His righteousness might be conveyed to us by faith. We then become Gospel Agents in every area of human endeavor: art, business, medicine, education, law, government---you get the picture. We are meant to show the world how healing occurs. The world is an assortment of wounded souls---without any idea as to how ultimate wholeness is to be obtained. Only the God-Man Jesus heals and binds up. It is incumbent upon the Church to testify to this Gospel Power---and touch the world with its reality. We must be broken and humble to be used of the LORD Jesus Christ in this way (Psalm 147: 6, 10, 11).
